‘He’s Not Worth That Much’ ‘At This Price, Plz Go Get Declan Rice’ Fans React As Liverpool Baulk At Midfielder’s 75M Valuation

Liverpool “don’t see value” in Brighton’s £75m asking price for Moises Caicedo, according to CBS Sports reporter Ben Jacobs.

The Reds are in the market for a midfielder but, if the Seagulls stand firm on their current valuation, Jacobs says a bid is unlikely to be made for the Ecuadorian international:

Supporters on Twitter are mostly in agreement with Liverpool’s stance on Caicedo, with many believing there are better alternatives available for a similar price:

There are believed to be a few reasons why Caicedo’s price tag is so high. Brighton have earned a lot through player sales recently and they are under no pressure to sell.

With the club also expected to offload Leandro Trossard to Arsenal this month, they are even less inclined to lower their demands for Caicedo. On top of that, there is a lot of interest from other clubs in the 21-year-old, with Chelsea the likeliest to make an offer before the transfer window shuts.
