Roma are hopeful that they can sign Liverpool centre-back Dejan Lovren for just €5m (£4.4m) this summer, according to reports in Italian media.
The Giallorossi are interested in snapping up the Croatian international, who is in the final year of his contract at Anfield. The Serie A side are hoping that their good relationship with the Reds, following previous deals for Mo Salah and Alisson, will help negotiations.
Supporters on Twitter had a mixed reaction to the news with some backing Liverpool to accept the offer from Roma, whilst others feel that Lovren should have a higher valuation:
He’s worth more than that. But this move does make sense.

World cup finalist, champions league winner, soon to be premier league winner. 5m doesnt make any sense at all and he still have many good years ahead of him

Although the global situation will certainly have an impact on the transfer market, Roma’s potential bid for Lovren is very much on the low side.
Last summer, a £25m price tag was slapped on the 30-year-old, and while his contract situation means they cannot expect to get that much for him, Liverpool would be hoping for at least double what Roma are said to be offering.
