Heskey Urges Salah To Stay Following Questions About The Liverpool Star’s Long Term Future

Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey believes Mo Salah should stay at Anfield in order to win more trophies. The Egyptian international had raised questions about his future following his remarks after lifting the Premier League title.

Considering the success the 28-year-old has had since moving to Merseyside, Heskey doesn’t think there is any reason for the player to move clubs:

“In my point of view, he [Salah] should stay at Liverpool. If they don’t win the league, I would have said that he should move to another place where he could win the title.”

“But now that he won the league, he must continue and try to win it again and again. Salah won all the titles with Liverpool but the challenge is to continue and try to win them again.”

Other than that non-commital answer he gave after the trophy lift, Salah has given no indication that he will be seeking to leave the Reds.

Really, with all the success the club has been having, it would be a big surprise if the Egyptian did opt to move clubs in the next few years.

Real Madrid have always been closely linked with Salah but, with the La Liga club struggling due to financial impact of the global health crisis, they are very unlikely to make a move for the Liverpool superstar this summer.
