“I Block It Out…” 87M Rated Chelsea Ace Speaks Out Amid Liverpool Transfer Links

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount insists he doesn’t pay that much attention to reports about himself in the media.

Speculation about his future has increased in recent days, with talks over a contract extension having stalled. Both Liverpool and Juventus have been linked with the player but Mount says he tries to focus only on his football:

“I know now there is a lot more media focus on me, but I do not look too much into that. I block it out.”

CIES Football Observatory currently value Mount at around €100m (£87m) but that figure is likely to drop sharply if negotiations over a new deal don’t reach a successful conclusion.

It is believed that discussions between the 23-year-old and his club are likely to resume in the New Year, once the World Cup is over, but there are differing accounts as to how things are progressing.

Mount’s contract with Chelsea is currently set to expire in 2024 and it seems as though Liverpool are monitoring his situation. We shall see how this story unfolds in the coming weeks.
