“I Can See Him At Liverpool” Pundit Makes Big Claim About Arsenal Star

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka would be a perfect signing for Liverpool, according to Noel Whelan.

The former Leeds United forward was reacting to reports that suggested the Gunners player would be interested in a move to Anfield. Whelan claims the 20-year-old would fit the profile that the Reds are looking for:

“I can see him at Liverpool, I don’t think it was that long ago that they were trying to tempt him over to Anfield when he was running out of contract at Arsenal. We have seen the development in Saka – he’s now one of the best wingers in the Premier League. The way he gets on the ball, the way he dictates a game, he’s very much a Liverpool style player.”

However, Whelan struck a note of caution regarding the transfer speculation. He doesn’t think that Arsenal would be prepared to let their prized asset leave the Emirates:

“It seems to be that Mikel Arteta is building something really quite special at Arsenal right now. I’m sure the club won’t want to let him go for any money and show their strength in the market. They’ll want to show they’re not a selling club and really continue with this rebuild.”

As Whelan mentions himself, rumours about Saka have cropped up a number of times in recent years and, while Liverpool will undoubtedly be admirers of the player, it seems unlikely that he will make the move to Merseyside.

With reports indicating that Saka is angling for another new contract, it is pretty likely that agents will use the reported interest in him from the Reds to get their client an improved deal.
