‘I Hope He’s Not Out For Long’ ‘Rest Him Against Arsenal’ Fans React As Klopp Raises Fitness Concerns About Liverpool Star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Mo Salah did pick up a foot injury in the 2-0 win over Brighton yesterday afternoon.

The Egyptian was replaced by Diogo Jota just after the hour mark at the Amex and, asked about the substitution following the match, Klopp replied:

“He thinks it’s not serious but you can see when Mo Salah is sitting down then something is not 100 percent right. I think it was the situation before when he hit the ball and got blocked – he wanted to shoot and got blocked and I think the foot got slightly overstretched. We have to see.”

Salah is now a doubt to face Arsenal on Wednesday evening and supporters on Twitter have been discussing whether the 29-year-old will be fit to play the Gunners:

While Klopp does have Jota, Roberto Firmino, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi to call upon if he so wishes, he would much prefer to have Salah available for an important fixture.

Arsenal are in very good form at the moment and to go to the Emirates without one of their key players would be a blow. Hopefully, Salah’s injury proves not to be too serious and he is able to make the trip to London next week.
