Liverpool forward Diogo Jota could be out for up to two months with a knee injury, according to reports in the Portuguese media.
The 24-year-old picked up the problem in the Champions League dead rubber against FC Midtjylland on Wednesday night and supporters on Twitter are not too pleased by manager Jurgen Klopp’s decision to play him:
I swear I’m gonna go mad

No worries Klopp knows what he's doing, at least we got the draw against the wifi password team from Denmark, so worth it

At the moment, these are only unconfirmed reports from Portugal. Journalists in the UK have said that Liverpool are waiting for further medical tests to determine the extent of the injury so we shall see if the diagnosis is as bad as some have claimed.
Considering the superb form that Jota has been in, it will be a bitter blow for the Reds if he is indeed sidelined until mid-February. The Premier League champions have thirteen fixtures between now and the Premier League clash against Leicester on February 13th. Fans will be praying he isn’t out for that many games.
