“I Think Teams Will Be Bidding For Him” Carragher Backs Liverpool And Arsenal Target For Summer Move

Jamie Carragher believes Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma is likely to move clubs at the end of the season.

After watching the Malian international star as the Seagulls were held to a 0-0 draw against Everton last night, Carragher said he can see a lot of teams making offers for the player in the summer:

“He’s been someone a lot of teams have looked at, or talked about. I don’t think teams will be looking at him, I think teams will be bidding for him. “I know Brighton fans will be saying why you trying to sell one of our players! But I think you would get top dollar for him.”

Back in December, it was claimed that Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United had all registered their interest in Bissouma with the player’s agent Michael N’Cho.

The Gunners are reportedly leading the race for the 24-year-old currently, although Jurgen Klopp’s side may well step up their interest in the player if they are actively looking for a successor to Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Dutchman is expected to leave Anfield when his contract expires in June, and while Bissouma would not be a like-for-like replacement, the Malian is certainly good enough in possession of the ball to play a similar role for the Reds.
