Liverpool are preparing an offer for Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, according to reports in the French media.
The Ivorian international will likely be sold in the summer with Inter Milan said to have made the first move with a €70m (£60m) bid.
However, Pepe has yet to decide on his future, with the likes Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern Munich also believed to be keen on the prolific wide man.
Fans on Twitter are debating whether the Ivorian would be a good addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad:
I’d take him he’s been amazing all season

As good as he looks I just don’t get why we’d buy another RW. Surely we should be going for a LW? As all of Mane, Salah and Shaq can play RW but basically only Mane can play LW.

Is he good? I haven’t really seen him play a lot.

70 M Euros? A bit too much IMO even with the crazy prices nowadays

Not a Salah replacement but would be great attacking depth that is much needed. Looks a top player

He looks decent

Werner would be a better option than Pepe imo.

Pepe’s record in Ligue One this season has been outstanding. The 23-year-old has scored 19 league goals and provided 11 assists, and he is not a one season wonder either, having hit the back of the net 14 times in all competitions last campaign for Lille.
It remains to be seen, though, if Liverpool would stump up £60m for a winger who would not be guaranteed a place in the front three.
