Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly competing for the signature of Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino.
There have been a number of claims made about the Reds either registering their interest in the Spanish international or even making a bid, but fans on Twitter are very sceptical about the Reds’ pursuit of the player:

If they sign Pino and ignore the midfield and fail to get CL next year. I will lose it.

My guess would be agent talk personally, doesn’t make much sense that if we chose to dip back into the market that it would be on a winger not a midfielder. If it is true then surely a front 4 is incoming with all our options

Pino has an €80m (£68m) release clause and, while Villarreal may be open to selling the teenager for below that figure, he would still be a costly purchase.
Considering he is a right-footed winger, he is not exactly someone that Liverpool really need, especially with the likes of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota already in the squad.
It has been speculated that Pino could be brought in as a potential long-term replacement for Mo Salah but the club’s recruitment staff would probably prefer a forward who is stronger on his left side.
At the moment, it does appear as if Arsenal are more likely to make a formal bid for the 19-year-old anyway, so the chances of him moving to Anfield look pretty slim.
