Liverpool are one of a number of Premier League clubs who are interested in Barcelona midfielder Pedri, according to reports in the Catalan media.
The 18-year-old is currently locked in contract negotiations with Barca, with the player now having entered the final twelve months of his current deal at the Camp Nou.
It is believed that the Reds, along with Bayern Munich, are keeping tabs on Pedri’s situation, and while fans on Twitter would like to see the teenager make the switch to Anfield, they can’t see it happening:
Insane if true

He's signing a new contract just forget him. Should focus on Tielemans, Neuhaus, Pellegrini or Bissouma

The player himself is reportedly very keen on staying with Barcelona, after having played a prominent role for the first team last season, making 52 appearances in total.
Liverpool will almost certainly be looking at strengthening their midfield options this summer, following the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer, but it’s unlikely that Pedri will be the player replacing the Dutchman.
