Is Klopp Already Looking To Replace Emre Can?

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool seem keen on completing at least one transfer before the end of the month. Even though Barcelona did not deliver the full Coutinho transfer fee yet, Klopp’s side is still rumored to have received around £100m which is more than enough for any player on the market right now who is a target.

According to the Mirror there are players Liverpool are focusing right now.

Both are midfielders and are rumored to be brought in to replace Emre Can who is closer than ever to leaving Liverpool. Manchester City have shown interest in the German international who could represent a decent increase in Klopp’s transfer budget if he is sold.

If Can does leave in the next couple of days, Liverpool have the following options to replace him:

Marcelo Brozovic – 25 – Under contract with Inter Milan until 2021. He was the stand-out player of Serie A for the last 2 years. He tripled his transfer value since signing with Inter and is now a key player for the Italian side. Brozovic has made 16 appearances this season, scored 3 times and provided 1 assist. Inter’s current situation might be a tipping point in this deal as Liverpool have much more to offer at this point. He would fit in nicely at Anfield and he would surely become a 1st team member in the shortest time possible.

Jean Michaël Seri – 26 – Under contract with Nice until 2019. He’s the kind of player you can use to win a title. Very similar to Kante and very talented. He also has impressed in the domestic competitions he has been part of and would have a lot to gain by joining Liverpool.

Other Premier League rivals like Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal have been connected with moves for the midfielder and Seri seems like he is in demand so the Reds may want to be proactive in signing him.

Liverpool also looked at Naby Keita joining sooner but that’s off the table as the Guinea international is not willing to leave before this season ends.
