Liverpool centre-half Ibrahima Konate has been ruled out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury, according to The Times reporter Paul Joyce.
The reliable journalist claims the Frenchman picked up the problem during the 2-1 defeat to Brighton in the FA Cup at the weekend, and he is now expected to miss the games against Wolves, Everton and Newcastle:
Ibrahima Konate is facing upto three weeks out with a hamstring injury. The Liverpool centre back will miss games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Everton, Newcastle United and potentially Real Madrid in the Champions League.

As Joyce also says, there is even a possibility that Konate won’t be available for the first leg of the Champions League knockout round tie versus Real Madrid and the news hasn’t gone down well with fans on Twitter:

Considering Virgil van Dijk is unlikely to return for the Madrid clash either, manager Jurgen Klopp will be praying that Joe Gomez and Joel Matip can stay fit until then.
Many supporters are likely having flashbacks to the 2020/21 season when Nat Phillips and Ozan Kabak started the two legs of the Champions League quarter-final clash against Real. They will be hoping that history doesn’t repeat itself with another centre-back crisis.
