Liverpool forward Harvey Elliott put in a superb performance on his debut for the first team against the MK Dons last night. The 16-year-old hit the woodwork twice and was a constant menace from the right flank.
Despite his young age, he was a key figure as a young Reds side made it through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. Fans on Twitter are excited by the winger’s potential:
It turns out we made a big signing in the summer.

Elliott joined the Reds from Fulham in the summer after deciding to sign a professional contract with the Merseysiders. It was only his fourth senior game and his first start.
The teenager was among a number of Liverpool’s youngsters who started last night. Curtis Jones, Ki-Jana Hoever and Caoimhin Kelleher all performed well in the 2-0 win, with Hoever even getting on the scoresheet.
Jurgen Klopp‘s side will face Arsenal at home in the next round. The game will take place at the end of October.
