Red Bull Salzburg have put an asking price of £25m on striker Patson Daka, according to reports in the UK.
West Ham are thought to be the club most actively considering a bid for the Zambian international, but Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with the player in recent months.
Daka’s price tag has led to a debate among Reds supporters on Twitter, with some believing the Merseyside club should go after the 22-year-old, while others are not so sure:
I've always wanted this guy at anfield to give competition to firmino

Absolutely pointless. We'll buy him not trust him, even when he's playing well and just waste a year or two of his career

Given the massive flops that are Naby, Werner and Taki I'd be staying away from Red Bull for a while. They seem to be very good at making average players look great.

Were Divock Origi to be sold this month then a bid for Daka would make a lot more sense. Currently, the Belgian is one of seven players that Liverpool have available to them who can play across the front three, along with Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Spending £25m on Daka would seem a luxury at the moment, with the more pressing need being at the other end of the pitch with the Reds having no fit centre-backs.
