The Athletic‘s Liverpool correspondent James Pearce has revealed that Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is looking to move to England this summer.
There has been heavy speculation in Spain that the Reds have already agreed personal terms with the 29-year-old, although Bayern’s chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has said there has been no contact with the Reds.
However, when asked by someone on Twitter whether he could rule out Thiago moving to Anfield, Pearce said that it remains to be seen what will happen:
I don’t know what will happen going forward. Bayern happy to sell and he’s keen on moving to the PL so we’ll have to wait and see if LFC move for him.

It is an intriguing answer from Pearce who is usually one of the most reliable journalists when it comes to Liverpool. There are numerous reports in Germany claiming Klopp is a big fan of Thiago and with Bayern willing to sell, people are putting two and two together.
With an asking price of £32m, it will be interesting to see whether FSG would sanction a move for a player who is only just on the right side of 30.
