Liverpool have told the agent of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele that they are not interested in signing the player, even if he becomes available on a free transfer, according to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs.
It is believed that the Frenchman’s representative, Moussa Sissoko, is trying to drum up interest in his client, in order to get the 25-year-old an improved offer from Barca, but Jacobs says the Reds are not getting drawn into the affair:
And to reiterate, Liverpool have absolutely no interest in Dembele. They have not made a late offer, have no desire to sign Dembele even if becomes a free agent and have made this abundantly clear to Sissoko.

Chelsea are believed to be Dembele’s likeliest destination if he does leave the Camp Nou at the start of next month but that very much depends on whether the winger is willing to sign the contract that is currently on the table.
Considering Dembele’s poor injury record, Liverpool’s decision to steer clear of the France international does seem to be a wise one, even though his availability on a free does make him a rather tempting target.
