Journalist Reveals Liverpool ‘Are Being Kept In The Loop’ As They Weigh Up Surprise Swoop For Chelsea Star

Liverpool “are being kept in the loop” with regards to Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger’s contract situation, according to Eurosport journalist Dean Jones.

The German international’s current deal at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer and he could leave on a free transfer, with it being reported that negotiations over an extension have stalled.

Jones claims there is an increasing likelihood that Rudiger will opt to change clubs, with a whole host of teams, including Liverpool, keeping an eye on developments.

Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich are all options if he wants to move abroad, while the Reds, Manchester City and Tottenham are possible destinations if the 28-year-old is keen on staying in the Premier League.

Chelsea are said to be so worried that Rudiger will leave that they have already been looking at potential replacements, including Juventus’s Matthijs de Ligt, Villarreal’s Pau Torres and Sevilla’s Jules Kounde.
