Liverpool are among the teams that are prepared to pay Gabri Veiga’s €40m (£35m) release clause, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle are, however, also among the potential suitors for the Celta Vigo playmaker, so it could be a fierce battle for his signature.
Veiga has been lighting up La Liga this season, with nine goals and three assists in 25 appearances, and fans on Twitter feel that Liverpool would be wise to pay the buyout fee:
just pay he's worth it

Jurgen Klopp’s side have been crying out for a goalscoring midfielder since Philippe Coutinho left the club and Veiga could be someone capable of playing a similar role.
Of course, at 20 years of age, the Spanish international will need time to develop his game but, with the midfielder available for a pretty reasonable price, it is a transfer to keep an eye on ahead of the next transfer window.
