Keita And Oxlade Chamberlain To Start, Nunez On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Brighton

Liverpool’s injury woes have continued, with both Roberto Firmino and Darwin Nunez having suffered setbacks in training this week.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that Nunez may still have a chance of playing against Brighton this afternoon but it will be a surprise if he is risked from the start.

Alisson will start in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson set to be selected as the two fullbacks. Joel Matip is expected to partner Ibrahima Konate once more in the centre of defence with Virgil van Dijk on the treatment table.

Naby Keita could be picked ahead of captain Jordan Henderson, with Fabinho and Thiago making up the rest of the midfield three.

Question marks over Nunez’s fitness mean Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may start, with Cody Gakpo on the left wing and Mo Salah through the middle.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Take On Brighton:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Konate, Robertson, Thiago, Fabinho, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Salah, Gakpo
