Keita And Phillips To Start, Thiago And Jota On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Sheffield United

Liverpool were handed another blow earlier this week when it was confirmed that captain Jordan Henderson could be out for two months with a groin problem. It means there will be yet another new centre-half partnership when the Reds take on Sheffield United tomorrow.

Nat Phillips is expected to be given the nod ahead of Ben Davies to partner Ozan Kabak, after replacing Henderson in the Merseyside derby. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will continue as fullbacks.

The lack of creativity in midfield may lead to manager Jurgen Klopp selecting the fit-again Naby Keita, and that may even lead to Thiago being benched, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Curtis Jones taking the other spots in the middle of the park.

Up front, it’s likely to be the usual suspects of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah. Diogo Jota is available but he is only expected to be used as a substitute after two and a half months on the sidelines.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Sheffield United:

Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson, Jones, Wijnaldum, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane
