Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita are both back in training ahead of the game versus Tottenham on Sunday.
Konate missed the 2-1 win over West Ham due to fitness concerns, while Keita has been sidelined for a month after sustaining an injury whilst on international duty with Guinea.
However, in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Klopp confirmed that Konate “will be back” in contention for the Spurs fixture, while Keita is “in training”.
Joel Matip performed well in the victory over the Hammers, scoring the winner, but Konate is likely to be recalled to the eleven, with Keita in line for a place on the bench.
Klopp has, though raised some concerns about Diogo Jota’s fitness. The Portuguese international injured his lower back at the London Stadium and, while he could be fine for the weekend, he is a minor doubt at the moment.
