Klopp ‘Considers’ Swoop For Brazilian Teenage Prodigy Who He Sees As The ‘Perfect’ Solution to Strengthen Frontline

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in making a move for Watford forward Joao Pedro this summer, according to the Corriere Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper claims that Klopp “considers” the Brazilian teenager as the “perfect” solution to add more options to his frontline.

Pedro was on Liverpool’s radar before he moved to Watford from Fluminense in January last year. Although he only made five appearances for the Hornets last season, he has become an established first-team player this campaign.

The 19-year-old has started 31 league games, making 39 appearances in total as he played an important role in helping Watford to automatic promotion.

Pedro’s nine goals mean he has not yet become a prolific goalscorer but the potential is clearly there, and it appears Klopp is keen on bringing the Brazilian to Anfield. We shall see if the Reds do make a bid for the striker in the coming weeks and months.
