“Klopp Has No Need For Him’ Report Claims Liverpool Have Ruled Out Move For Brazilian Ace Who Dreams Of Anfield Switch

Liverpool have closed the door on re-signing Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho this summer, according to Sport.

The Catalan newspaper claims the Brazilian’s “big dream” is to return to Anfield but manager Jurgen “Klopp has no need for him” and won’t be looking to bring him back.

It is believed that two Premier League clubs are interested in signing Coutinho on loan, with Leicester City said to be one of those teams. Arsenal and Everton have also been mentioned as potential suitors in recent weeks.

The biggest issue for any interested club is Coutinho’s recent injury problems. The 29-year-old spent a large portion of last season out injured and he has undergone knee surgery that means he will only return to fitness later this summer.

It’s likely that the Brazilian international’s injury record, form and age have all played their part in Klopp opting against re-signing the player. The decision is likely to disappoint some supporters but it seems there is no possibility of the transfer happening.
