Klopp hints further signings are to come

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has admitted there is still much work to be done in this summer’s transfer market, despite saying he is pleased with the deals that have been completed so far.

The Reds have completed a deal for Brazil midfielder Fabinho, who they signed from Monaco for a sum believed to be in the region of £43m, and Naby Keita who they agreed to sign last August from RB Leipzig.

Klopp’s side have been linked with several other stars this summer, and the German admitted that while he is happy with the deals they have completed so far, there is still much to be done.

“Yes, I am happy,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com. “And the work [on new signings] is always going on, that’s how it is. Why should we stop until the window is closing?

“It’s all good in the moment. We will see what happens and I will not – and don’t want to – say it looks a little bit better in that department or this department.

“If all the players are coming back and healthy from the World Cup then we have already a really, really good team – and that’s the only thing I need to know.

“What happens on the other side, we will see, but we don’t finish thinking about it before the last day of the window.”
