Klopp Nominated Alongside Chelsea, Sheffield United And Leicester Bosses For Manager Of The Season Award

The Premier League have named Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on their shortlist for the Manager of the Season prize.

The Reds boss is nominated along with Chelsea’s Frank Lampard, Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder and Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers:

Klopp will be the heavy favourite for the accolade, having guided Liverpool to their first Premier League title in 30 years, accruing 99 points and a record-equalling 32 victories along the way.

His only rival will likely be Chris Wilder, with the Blades boss helping his team to finish ninth. If they had secured European football, there would be a great case to make for the Yorkshireman but as things are, he had to settle for a midtable finish.

With Rodgers, the Foxes started off the season very well but they struggled in the second half of the campaign and ended up outside of the Champions League places. Lampard, meanwhile, guided Chelsea to fourth place but he is very much the outsider for the award.
