Klopp Responds To Talk That He Could Leave Liverpool For Bundesliga Giants

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dismissed speculation that he could take over at Bayern Munich.

Bayern and Germany legend Frank Beckenbauer has recently stated that he would love the Reds boss to take the reins at the Allianz Arena some day, but when asked about the possibility, Klopp replied:

“I like Franz, and he likes me, but I have a long-term contract at Liverpool. If Franz says something like that, I much prefer that to him saying and thinking that I cannot do anything, but both Bayern and Borussia Dortmund have very good coaches.”

“What could be in five years’ time or beyond that, I do not know. Maybe there will be other coaches that qualify for the roles.”

The German currently has three years remaining on his current contract at Liverpool, but there has been talk that the club will seek to extend that deal this summer.

After clinching the Merseyside team’s sixth European crown, Klopp is a manager who will be in high demand but he seems to be keen on building on the foundations he has established at Anfield.

The Reds missed out on the Premier League by one point last season to Manchester City, and he will be aiming to overhaul Pep Guardiola’s side next campaign as the club look for their first league title in thirty years.
