Konate, Keita And Carvalho To Start, Matip An Thiago Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Leicester

After an edgy 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day, Liverpool will be looking for a more assured performance against Leicester this evening.

The Foxes are reeling after a poor home defeat to Newcastle so the Reds will be the favourites to get the three points tonight.

Alisson Becker will be in goal but there could be a change to the backline that started at Villa Park, with Ibrahima Konate replacing Joel Matip as Virgil van Dijk’s partner in the centre of defence. Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold are expected to retain their places at fullback.

With another game coming up against Brentford on Monday, there could be changes in midfield, with the fit again Naby Keita likely to fill in for Thiago, with captain Jordan Henderson and Fabinho taking the other two positions.

Cody Gakpo is unlikely to be available until the FA Cup game against Wolves, so manager Jurgen Klopp may consider recalling Fabio Carvalho, with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain making way. Darwin Nunez is set to lead the line with Mo Salah starting on the right flank.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Leicester:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Keita, Salah, Nunez, Carvalho
