Konate, Kelleher And Henderson To Start, Matip And Alisson Drop Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Chelsea

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is sweating over the fitness of Diogo Jota ahead of the Carabao Cup final tomorrow afternoon.

Assistant manager Pep Lijnders has already ruled Roberto Firmino out of contention for the clash against Chelsea but Jota is still a question mark so a place on the bench for the Portuguese forward is the best Reds supporters can probably hope for.

Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to start in goal ahead of Alisson for the game at Wembley, with the Irishman having been favoured in domestic cup competitions by manager Jurgen Klopp.

Ibrahima Konate could come in to partner Virgil van Dijk, with Joel Matip making way. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are almost certain to be chosen as the two fullbacks.

Captain Jordan Henderson is likely to be recalled to the starting lineup, with Thiago and Fabinho taking up the other two positions in midfield.

With the news on Firmino and Jota, it means Luis Diaz is expected to keep his place, with Sadio Mane playing through the middle and Mo Salah coming in off the right flank.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Chelsea:

Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Mane, Diaz
