La Liga Manager Fears “Unwanted” Player Departures As Liverpool, Arsenal And Chelsea Circle 68M Rated Winger

Villarreal boss Unai Emery remains concerned that some of his best players may leave before the transfer window shuts at the end of the month.

The former Arsenal manager has already made it clear that Liverpool target Yeremy Pino could be sold if a satisfactory offer is made, and he fears the consequences of a team coming in and robbing him of key personnel:

“What can affect us is that there may be unwanted exit movements. What harms (us) the most is something unforeseen; A significant clause payment or an offer a player considers very attractive.”

Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool have scouted Pino a number of times over the last twelve months, along with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, the 19-year-old’s release clause is €80m (£68m), which is a substantial amount for a relatively inexperienced player. Even if he is available for below that price, you can’t see the Reds shelling out such a sum this late in the transfer window.

If the club were going to strengthen the frontline further after the addition of Darwin Nunez, they would have probably made their move for another signing earlier in the summer.
