Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Diaz, Matip, Keita And Two Other Players

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has completed his rehab and is ready to return to first-team training.

The Colombian international has been sidelined with a knee injury since the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal back in October but he is expected to feature in the friendlies against Lyon and AC Milan over the next ten days.

Joel Matip has also recovered from a calf problem that kept him out for several weeks before the World Cup and he should be ready to play in the Reds’ next competitive fixture versus Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on December 22nd.

Naby Keita is available following a number of months on the treatment table due to a serious hamstring injury, but two other players remain long-term absentees.

Diogo Jota and Arthur Melo are not likely to return any time soon. Jota’s calf issue may keep him out for months while Arthur is not expected to be back in contention until January after surgery on his thigh.
