Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Jones, Thiago And Elliott

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones has returned to training after missing the game against Watford at the weekend due to a minor groin problem.

Manager Jurgen Klopp was unhappy with how the 20-year-old’s injury was treated when playing for the England Under 21s but it appears the midfielder will be back in the matchday squad for the match against Atletico Madrid tomorrow night.

Thiago was once again absent from training today. The Spanish international has not played since the 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace due to a calf injury, but he was expected to be back in contention by now.

The 30-year-old is now a major doubt heading into the Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.

Harvey Elliott is continuing his rehab as he recovers from a dislocated ankle, while both Alisson and Fabinho will be available in Madrid after international duty and quarantine procedures ruled them out of the Watford game.
