Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Jota, Konate, Matip And 4 Other Players

Liverpool forward Diogo Jota is not expected to play again before the World Cup after sustaining a calf injury.

The Portuguese international had to be stretchered off in the closing stages of the 1-0 win against Manchester City on Sunday evening, with manager Jurgen Klopp stating after the match that the early prognosis was not good.

Ibrahima Konate picked up a minor muscular problem before the City clash at the weekend, and he remains a doubt for the game versus West Ham on Wednesday.

Joel Matip (calf) has missed the last two matches with a calf issue but he is likely to return to fitness before the end of the month. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also close to making his comeback from a hamstring injury.

Naby Keita (hamstring) should also be available quite soon, but Luis Diaz (knee) and Arthur Melo (groin) are long-term absentees, with the latter not expected to play for three to four months.
