Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Kabak, Firmino And Henderson

Liverpool centre-back Ozan Kabak missed the Fulham defeat at the weekend with a minor injury. Manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that the Turkish international won’t be out for too long, saying it was a “little problem.” The defender could well be back in contention for the Champions League clash against RB Leipzig on Wednesday night.

Roberto Firmino was also absent for the game on Sunday due to a knock. Klopp confirmed before the 1-0 loss to the Cottagers that it was a “small” issue so, like Kabak, he should be fit to travel to Budapest.

Captain Jordan Henderson has undergone minor surgery on a groin injury and he is expected to be out until April. The 30-year-old picked up the issue in the first half of the Merseyside derby last month.

The rest of Liverpool’s injury list are long-term absentees. Caoimhin Kelleher has been out since mid-February and no date has been given for his return to action. Joe Gomez, (knee), Joel Matip (ankle) and Virgil van Dijk (knee) all remain on the treatment table.
