Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Oxlade Chamberlain, Origi, Thiago, Elliott And Phillips

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain twisted his ankle in the 3-0 win over Brentford at the weekend.

After the match, manager Jurgen Klopp said he did not believe that the injury was serious but it would have to be assessed further by the medical staff. He is unlikely to face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.

Divorce Origi is back outside training on the grass and he is closing in on a return to full fitness. The striker has not played since scoring in the 2-1 win over AC Milan last month, but there is a possibility he’ll be back, either for the trip to the Emirates or for the game against Crystal Palace this weekend.

There is still no return date for Thiago. The medical department have yet to diagnose the root cause of a hip injury so the Spaniard could be out for a while.

Harvey Elliott is thought to be back in full training this week, while Nathaniel Phillips should be close to making a comeback from a broken cheekbone.
