Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Thiago, Fabinho, Gomez And Origi

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara is in a race against time to be fit for the Champions League final against Real Madrid this weekend.

The Spanish international sustained an Achilles injury during the 3-1 win over Wolves on Sunday and he is undergoing intensive treatment so he can be available for the game in Paris.

Fabinho is also a major doubt for Saturday. The Brazilian hasn’t been seen in action since picking up a hamstring problem against Aston Villa earlier this month.

Joe Gomez had to be subbed in the 2-1 victory versus Southampton last week after injuring his ankle. He was seen wearing a protective boot on his left foot following the match at St Mary’s but there is some confidence that he will make a quick recovery. The defender could even be on the bench for the match against Real.

Divock Origi has played his last game for the Reds. The striker suffered a muscular injury in training the day before the Wolves match and he is expected to join AC Milan when his contract expires next month.
