Latest Liverpool Injury News: Updates On Three Players Ahead Of The Game Against Chelsea

Liverpool could have two players back in contention ahead of the trip to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

When asked about Xherdan Shaqiri (muscular) and Kostas Tsimikas (fitness), as well as captain Jordan Henderson, ahead of the Leeds game, manager Jurgen Klopp said the players were training and could be back in action soon.

While Henderson started the 4-3 win at Anfield, Shaqiri and Tsimikas did not make the matchday squad, but the pair are likely to be in line for a place on the bench this weekend.

The Reds’ only other fitness concern is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 27-year-old injured his knee during pre-season and is predicted to be out for, at least, the first few weeks of the Premier League campaign.

It means he won’t feature against Chelsea but it is hoped that he will be back in training and available for selection before the next international break
