Latest Liverpool Injury Report For The Week Ahead

Liverpool have six injury concerns heading into the games against MK Dons and Sheffield United, but one player should be back in action very soon.

Naby Keita has been out for the last six weeks due to a hip problem after pulling up before the Super Cup final against Chelsea, but he is expected to start in the Carabao Cup this evening.

However, Xherdan Shaqiri will not be involved. A scan has shown a minor tear in his calf so he won’t be called upon to face MK Dons.

Sadio Mane suffered a knock in the first half in the league game versus the Blues on Sunday, but he is due to be back in training on Thursday so he should be in contention for the trip to the Blades.

Divock Origi is back fit after an ankle injury, but he is not currently training with the team and is unlikely to be available for either match this week.

Alisson Becker is on track to return after the next international break but the Reds are being careful with his calf problem and won’t risk him coming back too soon. Nathaniel Clyne remains out for the long term with an ACL injury.
