Latest Liverpool Injury Report: Klopp Provides Updates On 7 Players

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that none of the seven injured players will return for the game against FC Midtjylland tomorrow night.

There were no new fitness concerns following the 4-0 win over Wolves at the weekend, but Klopp says those who are still out are not “close enough” to returning for them to be in contention for the trip to Denmark.

Alisson Becker (hamstring) is thought to be the closest to making his comeback, with recent reports suggesting he’ll be in the matchday squad for the match versus Fulham on Sunday.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) is now back training on the grass so he should not be far from returning to action. There are still doubts over when James Milner (hamstring) and Xherdan Shaqiri (muscular) will be fit, while Thiago Alcantara (knee) is not expected to play again until the New Year.

Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk (both knee) remain long term absentees, although there was a welcome sight last week as van Dijk started gym work at Kirby as he starts his rehabilitation.
