Latest Liverpool Injury Report: Updates On Diaz, Alexander Arnold, Arthur And Four Other Players

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz injured his knee during the first half of the Reds’ 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend.

The Colombian international is expected to undergo a scan this week but he won’t face Rangers on Wednesday, while there is little chance of him playing against Manchester City either.

Trent Alexander-Arnold twisted his ankle following a collision with Gabriel Martinelli but, after initially playing on, he was forced off at half-time. Manager Jurgen Klopp has described the nature of the injury as “not good” so the fullback isn’t likely to return to action anytime soon.

Arthur Melo is set to be out for three to four months after it was decided he needed surgery on a groin injury. The Brazilian has made just one substitute appearance for the Reds since arriving from Juventus last month.

Curtis Jones is closing in on a return from a leg injury, while Andy Robertson (knee) could also be back in contention soon. Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita (both hamstring) remain unavailable.
