Latest Liverpool Injury Report: Updates On Jota, Kabak And Milner

Liverpool’s injury situation goes from bad to worse with manager Jurgen Klopp having confirmed that Diogo Jota will now miss the rest of the season with a foot injury.

The Portuguese international picked up the issue against Manchester United last week and he won’t be available for the Reds’ final two league matches against Burnley and Crystal Palace.

Ozan Kabak is in the same boat with the Turkish international having suffered a muscular injury which means he could have played his last game for the club. The defender’s loan expires at the end of the campaign and there is a growing likelihood that the club won’t take up their option to buy him.

There is some good news on the fitness front, though, with Klopp claiming that vice-captain James Milner (muscular) could be back on Wednesday, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (illness) is also expected to be available. There is less certainty on when Naby Keita or Ben Davies (both muscular) will return to the squad.

The rest of Liverpool’s injuries are long-term absentees. Jordan Henderson (groin), Joe Gomez (knee), Joel Matip (ankle) and Virgil van Dijk (knee) have all been ruled out until the summer.
