Latest Liverpool Injury Report: Updates On Mane, Jota, Fabinho And Alisson

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he is hopeful that Sadio Mane will be fit to face Manchester City this weekend.

The Senegalese international has missed the games against West Ham and Brighton due to a minor muscle injury but there is a good chance that he’ll be available on Sunday.

Diogo Jota is back on the training pitch but Klopp says it will be at least two weeks before we see the Portuguese international back in action for the Reds’ first-team once again.

Fabinho is thought to have a better chance of making the City clash. The Brazilian has not featured since the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup just under two weeks ago.

Alisson Becker is a doubt for this weekend’s game. Caoimhin Kelleher had to be called upon for the Brighton match, with the club’s number one suffering with an illness, so it remains to be seen if he’ll recover in time. The status of Naby Keita’s fitness remains a mystery.

Joel Matip (ankle) has been ruled out for the rest of the season, while Klopp has suggested that both Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk are also highly unlikely to feature again either.
