Latest Liverpool Injury Report: Updates On Shaqiri And Clyne

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool’s first-team squad are all currently working at home with individual training plans during the enforced break in football fixtures. There are, however, a few players who remain on the sidelines due to injury problems.

Xherdan Shaqiri has had a persistent calf problem since the beginning of the year. The Swiss international last played a competitive game when he came on as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Tottenham back in January.

He has been limited to just ten appearances in all competitions this campaign due to various fitness issues, having started just three times.

In addition to Shaqiri, there are two other players who are believed to be still on the sidelines. Nathaniel Clyne is recovering from an ACL injury he sustained during a preseason friendly against Borussia Dortmund back in July.

Teenage fullback Yasser Larouci is also on the treatment table due to a hamstring strain he picked up in February.
