Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara is not expected to be out for too long with a hamstring injury, despite pulling up before the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea on Sunday.

The Spanish international won’t be available for the FA Cup tie against Norwich City tomorrow evening, and he is not expected to be in the squad for the West Ham game this weekend either. There is, however, a possibility that he’ll be back for the Champions League round of 16 second leg versus Inter Milan next week.

Luis Diaz was replaced by Divock Origi in extra time against Chelsea, with there being some question marks about his fitness after the game at the weekend. However, manager Jurgen Klopp has played down any concerns, stating the Colombian was simply suffering from fatigue.

Roberto Firmino did not make the squad on Sunday but the Brazilian forward is thought to be close to returning from a groin injury. We shall see if he is involved against Norwich.
