Lazio Consider Making Summer Swoop For Heavily Criticised Liverpool Star

Lazio are interested in signing Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren in the summer, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Serie A side have a history of signing players from the Reds, with Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva having moved to Rome from Anfield in recent years, and it appears they are keen on snapping up another.

Lovren was linked with a move to Italy last summer, with AC Milan reportedly looking to sign the Croatian, but the centre-back was convinced to stay by Jurgen Klopp.

However, after only having played 14 games this season, and following a poor display against Watford which cost Liverpool their unbeaten record, a sale for the 30-year-old may well be considered at the end of the season.

Lovren’s current deal with the Reds expires in 2021 so this summer will be the last opportunity they will have to get a decent sum for him if he doesn’t sign a new contract.
