Leicester tasted yet another defeat in their last league game, as they were beaten by Marco Silva’s Fulham in a 5-3 thriller. The Cottagers breached Leicester’s shaky defence time and time again – they were 3-0 up at half time. The Foxes mounted a comeback in the second period, but Fulham held onto their lead – the loss left Leicester in a precarious position.
When the two teams last met in the league, the Reds came from behind to snatch victory at Anfield. In many ways, Leicester’s defeat was self-inflicted – after taking the lead early on, Wout Faes scored two own goals to give Liverpool the three points.
