‘Like A New Signing’ ‘Much Needed Boost’ – Fans On Twitter Delighted To See Liverpool Star Back On The Training Pitch

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has stepped up his rehabilitation from a serious knee injury during the Reds’ midseason training camp in Dubai.

The 25-year-old was filmed doing some light work with the ball as he makes his way back to full fitness:

Fans on Twitter are happy to see Oxlade-Chamberlain back on the training field:

The former Arsenal player was expected to miss the whole season after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the 5-2 win over Roma last April.

He has, however, made a quicker recovery than many had anticipated with manager Jurgen Klopp hinting that he could be available within the next two months.

The Reds boss has indicated a return in February could be possible although it would still take time for him to build up match fitness even when fully fit.

Oxlade-Chamberlain played a crucial role in Liverpool’s midfield during the second half of last season and many supporters will be hoping he can return to do a similar job this year as well.
