Liverpool Ace Tipped For Departure After Surprise Squad Omission

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson may well be offloaded on loan before the domestic transfer window closes next week, after being left out of the Reds’ Champions League squad.

The Wales international was not named on the list of players that the Premier League champions submitted to UEFA, even though there was room to include him. The Merseyside club listed only seven of their eight homegrown players in the 25-man squad for the group stages, suggesting Wilson is unlikely to be at Anfield much longer.

The 23-year-old was linked with the likes of Burnley, Leeds United and Celtic before the transfer deadline on Monday night but no deal was agreed for him to leave.

However, teams in the Championship have until Friday, October 16th to complete any transfer business, and it may be the case that Wilson will be allowed to leave on loan until January in order to get some game time.

With Xherdan Shaqiri having also stayed, it appears manager Jurgen Klopp has only room for one of them in his first-team plans. The Swiss international was named in the Champions League squad, unlike Wilson.
