Liverpool Among 4 Clubs Tracking 70M Rated West Ham Star Who Has Ambitions Of Joining Bigger Club

Liverpool are one of the teams interested in signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to Eurosport‘s Dean Jones.

Writing in his Transfer Notebook column, the journalist claimed that the Reds, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are all keeping tabs on the 22-year-old, who is increasingly open to moving to a bigger team:

Jones does, however, go on to say that the Hammers are now likely to demand much more than the £70m they wanted last summer for Rice, while the player himself wants a salary in excess of £150,000 a week with a sizeable signing-on fee.

If those figures are accurate, it seems likely that Liverpool won’t get involved in the battle for the England international. The Merseyside club are seeking a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum but they are thought to be looking for players who would cost significantly less than Rice.

The three names who have been most heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks are Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus, Brighton’s Yves Bissouma and Aston Villa’s John McGinn.
