Liverpool remain interested in signing Rennes winger Jeremy Doku, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Belgian international was linked with the Reds before he made the move to France from Anderlecht in 2020. The player has since revealed that he didn’t feel he was ready to make the switch to Anfield and that has proven to be the case, considering he hasn’t exactly set the world alight at Rennes.

Even so, Doku’s potential means a lot of teams are still keeping an eye on his development. In addition to Liverpool, the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Juventus and Napoli are all said to be admirers of his talent.

It is doubtful that any team would choose to make a bid for him at the moment. Injuries have meant he has only started one game so far this season and, during his seven appearances, he has failed to score or provide an assist.

If Doku does start to put in improved performances between now and the summer, though, it seems Jurgen Klopp‘s side would be among the clubs looking to make a move for him.
